I design and build systems that turn complex operations into scalable, reliable software.

Engineering & Software Development
Designed & Built End-to-End
Backend, Frontend & Infrastructure

With a background spanning 15+ years in production engineering and software development, I specialize in translating real-world workflows into modern platforms, combining system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and product thinking.
My work focuses on areas such as multi-tenant SaaS systems, backend services, and developer platforms, where performance, scalability, and usability are critical. I’ve built end-to-end solutions integrating business operations, data systems, and user-facing applications, bridging the gap between engineering environments and software systems.
This site showcases selected projects and experiences across software, systems design, and operations, highlighting how practical engineering knowledge can be applied to build better, more intuitive technology.
These skills reflect the tools and capabilities I use to design, build, and scale software systems.
They are grouped by area to highlight how different disciplines come together in real-world applications. Proficiency is rated from 1 to 5, where 1 indicates foundational knowledge and 5 represents extensive hands-on experience applying the skill in production environments.

These projects represent my personal initiatives and experiments outside of formal work or education. Each one reflects a problem I was curious about, a skill I wanted to master, or an idea I wanted to bring to life. From software applications to engineering experiments, these projects showcase my creativity, technical abilities, and passion for building things that matter.

Interactive web-based guitar practice platform built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tone.js, focused on real-time playback and structured musical representation.
The application introduces a custom notation and timing system designed to model musical events using ticks-based scheduling, enabling precise playback control, loopable exercises, BPM adjustments, and multi-instrument support for guitar and bass. The project also includes a sampler-based audio architecture and structured playback engine for managing notation events, transport scheduling, and instrument execution.
Developed as an evolution of the original Guitar Practice project, this version reflects a transition from visualization-focused tooling toward more advanced application architecture, audio synchronization, and reusable musical data modeling. The project explores challenges related to real-time systems, state management, and scalable frontend application structure within modern web technologies.

Backend API for a personal finance management application, designed to handle user accounts, transactions, and budgeting workflows.
Built with Java (Spring Boot) and PostgreSQL, the system exposes RESTful endpoints for managing financial data with a focus on data integrity, security, and clear domain structure. The project explores backend design patterns for handling transactional data, user-specific datasets, and modular service organization.
While developed as a side project, it reflects practical considerations such as API structure, validation, and scalability, serving as a foundation for building reliable financial systems.

Personal portfolio platform built to present projects, experience, and technical capabilities in a structured and evolving format.
Developed using Next.js 15, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, the site functions as both a portfolio and an extended resume, allowing for more detailed presentation of systems, projects, and technical decisions. It is designed with flexibility in mind, enabling continuous updates and iteration as new work and ideas are developed.
Deployed on Vercel with a custom domain, the project reflects an approach to building lightweight, maintainable web applications focused on clarity, performance, and adaptability.

Interactive web-based tool for visualizing guitar scales, chords, and arpeggios, built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
The application allows users to select musical parameters and dynamically generates fretboard visualizations and tablature, focusing on clarity and usability for practice sessions.
This project marked my transition into software development, representing my first experience building an interactive application with real programming languages. It played a key role in shifting my career from engineering toward software, laying the foundation for future work in system design and application development.

I was born and raised in Joinville, SC, a dynamic industrial city known as the "Manchester Catarinense" for its thriving mechanical and manufacturing hub, home to Brazil's largest mold-making and metalworking industries and host of the world-renowned Joinville Dance Festival. My earliest memories are filled with sketches, from animals and landscapes to people, always drawing, always creating.
At age 8, my curiosity exploded when my dad brought home our first computer. I quickly taught myself by exploring features online, becoming the go-to tech helper in my circle. Later, in early high school, he signed me up for an AutoCAD course. I mastered it in just three months, and even before the course ended, that skill opened the door to a machining apprenticeship at SENAI, where I learned how drawings truly come to life.
After high school, I faced a tough choice between full-time Mechanical Engineering or a night technician certification in Mechanical Projects. Financial constraints made the decision easy, but as I dove into my technician course, I fell in love with designing and building. While studying, I worked at Dom Bosco Machining and soon joined Boxcar, where I designed products and learned from a former Volkswagen logistics expert, experiences that shaped my ambition to pursue further study in Production Engineering at UDESC, one of Brazil's top-ranked universities.
While at UDESC, I balanced studies with work at Kozetek, delivering firsthand lessons on flexibility, collaboration, and leadership. After graduating, I joined Multicase Systems to support automotive customers, but realized I needed to improve my English to bridge global opportunities. That led me to Centennial College in Toronto to study Project Management and start my Canadian journey.
Canada quickly felt like home, from working in software development at JVC Precision and 7Gen to expanding my craft and mindset. In 2023, I turned a long-standing passion into reality and founded Nengatu, a bootstrapped ERP startup. As a solo founder, I've worn nearly every hat, from backend and frontend developer to marketer, legal manager, and salesperson, learning to prioritize ruthlessly and build with heart.
When I'm not behind the screen or sketching ideas, you'll find me strumming my electric guitar, something I began at 14, and later taught neighborhood kids at age 15. I met my wife through music; we formed a classic rock band in university and married before moving to Canada. Today, she supports Nengatu's visuals while excelling in her own career. And yes, growing up, I wasn't a soccer fanatic like many Brazilians. I loved volleyball, and still do, along with swimming and cycling.
I'd love to connect! Whether you're interested in collaborating on new opportunities, discussing my startup journey, or exploring how my skills can support your team, feel free to reach out.
